did not companion easily with an acquaintance. A friend suspected that the reason was due to their differing cultures; yet Mariam knew that the clash was due to disparate value-systems.
Rabbi
Jesus told her, “It has nothing to do with culture, and everything to do with
mindset.”
Let us be sensitive to the reality that the set of values with which we individually align ourselves, may cause ripple-effects into the fabric of relationships in our daily lives.
